A Few of My Favorite Things.....

Hi friends and Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Our weekend was very calm and relaxing. The boys don't really like laying around the house but I got a few snuggles out of them this weekend!
So I've been thinking about sharing some of my absolute favorite beauty products and some of my  favorite fashion staples. I must admit it was a little hard to narrow my list down but I did. I felt like these were my absolute must haves! So here goes....
My all time favorite foundation brush from Real Techniques. This is their Expert face brush and it's only $9! I'm so happy I purchased this brush. Such a great brush and a very low price too.
I'm sure you've heard so many great things about Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. Well, it's all true! I've been using this Bronzer for about 6 months now and I will defiantly be buying a new one when I run out. (I just hit pan so it will be soon)
I'm not much of a lip stick kinda gal so I tend to wear more lip glosses. I'm loving this NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée. It's such a pretty pinky/nude color.
I've never loved a blush like I do this one. This is Maybeliline Blush in light Mauve. I'm obsessed.

My all time FAVORITE scarf. The Lenore Scarf from www.kikilarue.com
One of the most worn tops in my wardrobe is the La'Rue Essential top from Kiki La'Rue. I own 20, yes I said 20 different colors/styles. I guess you can say I'm obsessed?! Ha!

These Steve Madden Candence Boots are another favorite of mine. I purchased these last year and I'm so happy I did. I wear them all the time and they're so comfy!
Last, but certainly not least.... My Ready to Ride Moto Jacket is by far one of the purchases I'm most pleased with. I LOVE this jacket. Love the color, the fit, and the simple fact I don't feel like....fat guy in a little coat. (Cuz many leather jackets make me feel like that haha!)

What are some of your must haves? I would love to hear if you purchase any of these items and what you think about them. Thanks for stopping by. Xoxo -Jessica

My first swap

I was so excited to do my first swap! If you're not familiar with a "swap" I'll explain. It's sooo much fun and it's like Christmas! You and another person exchange items with each other. It can be anything ......Make up, crafts, nail polish, or house decor! Set a dollar amount with each other and maybe give a couple hints if you would like.
I've always wanted to do a swap! I see it all over blogs and YouTube. So I thought it was time for me to do one! I follow so many fun people on Instagram but one person stood out to me. It may have been her obsession with chevron or the fact she loves to do nails like me?! Whatever it was, I just knew we would have fun swapping goodies. I contacted her and instantly she was just as excited as I was. Following her is fun! We have a lot in common. You should follow her too! Denissa_sweetandsimplelife
Let the shopping begin! I had fun buying for her. I had her in mind (what I knew she liked from IG) as well as what I liked and wanted to share with her. We also challenged each other to a craft, which made it even more fun! Here is a list of the items I got for her........
eos lip balm
Hand sanitizer
My fave lip gloss from Revlon
The best blush from elf
Make up remover wipes (cuz who doesn't need those??)
"Chalkboard surface" labels
Scentsy pack in the scent Snowberry (my fave!!)
"Let it Snow" holiday decor
And last but not least, the craft I made for her. Her last name is Moore so I wanted to make a Christmas craft with her name some how. I came up with the saying " The MOORE the Merrier"
I had a ton of fun doing this! Funny thing is we got each other two of the (almost) same thing!

Here is the package I sent to her........

And my goodies from Denissa.....

My package from Denissa was perfect! So many of my favorite things. I love it all and can't wait to hear what she thinks of hers! Have you ever done a swap? If so, I would love to hear all about it!

OOTD: Playing Dress Up

My OOTD -
It's getting cold here so I decided to wear my long sleeve La'Rue Essential top in Taupe. I paired it with some teal skinnies from F21 and my Steve Madden Boots. Nelly had the Ready to Ride Moto Jacket on from Kiki La'Rue
And I had to throw it on as well ( I stole it from her)! I added a leopard scarf because I love bright colors with leopard. Love the way the jacket pulls the whole outfit together.

So I've been wanting to try all my new outfits on from Kiki La'Rue. Since Nelly was over I thought we could do a little photo shoot. Who wouldn't want to play dress up?!  We even had a little helper......
He did this all on his own! Hahaha cutie.

Can you say Bitch stole my look?! Haha well, actually I stole hers! Loved both her Ready To Ride Moto Jacket and Royal Blue long sleeve La'Rue Essential Top. We have the same style, it's crazy! Oh and BTW she's always taking my pictures so I thought it was time for her to take a pic! Gorg! We had fun taking all these pictures. She made me laugh the whole time. (She knows how picky I am too) I guess you can say we work well together. Ha!

I have a little confession to make.....

Happy Friday friends! Hope everyone had a happy Halloween! We had a blast and this momma is enjoying some candy as I write this. Ha!
So I have a little confession. I've been laughing about this for a while now. My poor boys...... It has come to me having to take over their closet! Yep, I have way too many clothes and had to start putting my clothes in their closet. I can't help it. I have all my dresses in their closet because I ran out of room in my bedroom closet. I also got a closet rack from Target a few weeks back because I was starting to run out of room again. My husband says I have a problem! Hahaha I think maybe he's a little bit right. The rack from Target is all Kiki La'Rue and my closet in my room is a mixture of KLR and various other places. The section I stole out of the boys' closet is mainly all KLR dresses. Clearly I have an obsession with clothes. My husband has even thought of a way to build me a bigger closet in our already small room! Hahaha

Do you steal closet space from your kids? Please say I'm not the only one!

God Gave me Curves

If you know me, you know my love for Kiki La'Rue . I absolutely love everything about this boutique . They're on point with their customer service. The styling of the outfits is a huge plus too! We all love the little notes on our order form as well. Too many great things to list. I could go on and on! I'm not just saying this because she's one of my BFFs! I'm one of her customers as well, so believe me when I say, best shopping experience ever!
One of the things I love to do is show some love for the curvier women out there. God has blessed me with.... Uh hum... How should I say it.... Some junk in the trunk. Ha! I have a size 12 waist but a size 14 hips and booty. I love that KLR has so many options for us big booty girls as well. 12 Random Facts

I love reading random facts about people I follow on IG or blogs I follow. I thought I would come up with some facts myself. I had to laugh at some of these as I was writing them. Hope you laugh too. Ha!

1) I'm deathly afraid of spiders, even tiny ones! I know the little ones can't hurt me but I just can't help it.
2) I'm obsessed with Chevron print. Can you tell?! ha!
3) My husband proposed to me at my HS graduation. Crazy to think I got my diploma and a ring all in one night. One of my favorite memories for sure!
4) I have OCD which is a lot to live up to for me. I hate things on my counter tops and I notice anything out of place as soon as I walk into a room. Annoying at times! Haha
5) I love Mexican food and I could eat it every day.
6) I'm a reality show junky, especially Real Housewives of where ever!
7) Mint and teal are my favorite colors.
8) When I was younger I rocked a mullet. (Not my choice....my mom's of course)
9) I can't leave Target without buying a cart full!
10) I can't leave my house unless I vacuum and sweep first.
11) I have the BEST friends ever!
12) I'm super sensitive and kinda hate that about myself. I cry over anything. Hahaha

Thought I would share the picture of my proposal. This picture says a lot. <3 Nine years of marriage and three little boys. I couldn't ask for more.

What's a random fact about you?

OOTD and a little weekend recap

Happy Monday friends! What a busy but fun weekend we had. It was The Bass Derby this weekend where we live. Fire truck rides, carnival, parade, and lots of fair food! My boys rode rides til they were about to fall over. They had a blast! My husband and I grew up going to this festival so it's fun to see our kids enjoy it the way we used too.

OOTD ~ So I've been loving leggings lately but I have big thighs so I struggle with the decision to wear them or not. Well...... I just went for it. Floral Leggings are a huge trend right now and I thought there was no way I could pull them off...... But I gave them a try anyways.
Cardigan- Target
Piko top in Salmon, Floral Leggings, and necklace (both leggings and necklace are sold out) - Kiki La'Rue
Black Boots- Steve Madden Cadence
Bag- Phillip Lim for Target

OOTD

With it being so early in Fall I like to take advantage of the cooler days to wear my Lenore Scarf from Kiki La'Rue. This scarf is the softest scarf ever! It's light weight enough to wear right now where I live. We're still not too cold but cool enough to break out my scarves. I own 6 colors in this scarf because I love it so much. Right now I'm really into pairing mint and navy together. What do you know.... I just happen to have a Mint SS Piko in my closet (surprised?) hahaha!  I paired my Mint Piko with my Navy Lenore, both from Kiki La'Rue. I love me some Pikos! I paired some black leggings from Target and my tan Steve Madden Caddence Boots with it. Ok let's talk about my bag...... I absolutely LOVE my Phillip Lim bag. It was so hard to find this baby! Thanks to one of my BFF's Nelly for finding it on IG! Whoop whoop! Target out did themselves with teaming up with Phillip Lim. That's a must for all my outfits lately. Love how well it all came together.
